The Bleeding Heart Bakery

Michelle Garcia, owner and executive chef of The Bleeding Heart Bakery in Chicago, the first and only USDA certified organic retail bakery, in the U.S, opening her second location this November. Both she and the bakery hold many awards like “Best Bakery” by Windy City Magazine 2006 and in 2007 by The Reader. You can also find her featured on the Food Network on Extreme Cakes and soon you will be able to catch her on the W.E. in a reality show. She was classically trained at The French Pastry School, in Chicago and has worked and traveled abroad.
